    Storyline:某日，令狐冲（周润发 饰）得知林家的辟邪剑谱被青城派觊觎，情势十分危急，于是和师父岳不群一起前去帮助，哪知道晚来了一步，林家惨遭灭门，只留下幼子林平之（董玮 饰），岳不群遂将林平之收为弟子。　　某日，令狐冲遇见了遭奸人所害的女尼仪琳，之后又遇见曲洋（甘国卫 饰）和刘正风（任达华 饰）两人，他们虽属正邪两派，却志趣相投结下深厚友谊，亦因此而遭到众教迫害，最终丧命。两人将他们的琴箫和鸣的《笑傲江湖》曲谱送给了令狐冲，却使得令狐冲被误会勾结邪教，被罚上崖思过。在山崖上，令狐冲意外得到了五岳剑派的秘笈，修炼之后武艺大增。
